COVID-19 Response Info
Dear Customers & Friends,
It is time for a change. I was contemplating some different options since December, and now I've decided to simplify extremely. After a great 15 year history I will be closing down my store-front. And I wanted to thank you for being a part of that history. Will you join me for what comes next?
While Custom Sound will no longer have a store-front location, I’ll be setting up a new shop dedicated to building Solstice Guitars and still doing repairs. This has been a long time coming, but obviously there is a new reason to expedite and clarify goals and objectives.
Now more than ever, I want to spend more time at home with my family, and to build guitars. And I haven’t had any time for these other things that are most important to me, or even playing music, going rock climbing or backpacking.
So, that’s the short of it. You’ll still be able to find me online and at my new office for all your repair needs. However, it will be appointments only. And I look forward to welcoming you at my new facility when the time comes. The transition has begun. I hope to be taking appointments again starting in June. Look out for more details and updates coming soon.
In the meantime, let’s get you some deals! Check out the VIRTUAL FLASH SALE!
Best Wishes,

THE SIMPLE CONCLUSION?
I am now taking appointments with customers at my office downtown. My new shop is up and running at home.
WHERE DO WE MEET?
My office is at 123 South San Francisco St. I'm upstairs in #14. Please meet me there.
DO YOU SELL OR RENT GUITARS?
No. Not anymore. I have a couple remaining instruments for sale. But from now on I am dedicated to only repairing and building guitars. On occasion I may have some unique pieces available for sale online.

Ryan,
It’s a shame your moving the shop. I’m interested in some strings, picks etc.. are you there tomorrow? Maybe around 11:30? I’ll make sure to mask up. We’ve got some work for you when you get settled in the new location.

Thanks Carlos. I’m not around in the mornings. I can schedule an appointment at 2pm or later tomorrow for you to get some strings and things. I’ll be doing repair appointments again starting around May 15th. I’ve started putting people on the calendar for future repair jobs.
